Interview in a US publication Authority Magazine

I recently had the opportunity to be interviewed by the US publication, Authority Magazine, as part of their Female Disruptors series.

One question they asked me stayed with me.
"What is the biggest disruption you have brought to your industry?"

My answer was simple.

I believe we've been looking at career transition from the outside in.
We spend so much time talking about résumés, LinkedIn profiles, networking and interview preparation.
Those things matter.
But in my experience of coaching senior professionals, they are rarely the hardest part.

The hardest part is rebuilding your identity.
Who are you when the role that defined you for years is no longer there?
That question has become the foundation of my work.

It's why I believe career transition is, first and foremost, an identity transition.
Until we make sense of that, even the best career strategy can feel surprisingly empty.

This interview gave me the opportunity to reflect on that journey, the experiences that shaped my thinking, and why I believe identity reinvention deserves far more attention than it receives today.
